Velvet

Half past midnight,

In a mood lit street,

We are sleeping alone,

Red velvet leaking from your heart;

A blanket To keep us warm.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Butterflies

Stirring butterflies inside,

At your warm forgiving touch,

With eyes open far and wide,

Love sensations hurt too much.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Restoration

When words to fail and fall,

Touch becomes sounds relation,

And you do answer the call,

With eyes of restoration.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Chains

And more chain smoking mornings,

Disappears into the cloud,

Yet more ominous warnings,

Of the turmoil to be found.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Pencil Hearts

And I drew your heart,

Upon the white wall,

To show you are art,

And how you enthrall.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Lusterless

Plucking our heart strings,

‘Neath lusterless stars,

A tune fit for kings,

This swansong of ours.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Chased

Upon my pyre forced to dance,

With no chance to retire,

I do renounce my last chance,

As I am chased by the fire.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Madness

My descent into madness,

A tango with the devil,

Darkness envelopes sadness,

As my wings do dishevel.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Paths

And down the worn path,

Bare feet in the soil,

I do meet my wrath,

And myself do recoil.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Deafness

Though I am may be overwhelmed,

For me, you do try to endear,

Please teach me to hear myself,

I am deaf as my soul’s ear.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Hours

My shallow breaths unheard,

As my thoughts grow louder,

Words flying through the blurred,

All day, hour after hour.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Atlas

Finding meaning in the madness,

In chaos and the absurd,

Dancing upon the atlas,

As my knowledge goes unheard.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Rising Mist

‘Neath a blanket of starlight,

Sailing the most covert sea,

With the cascading moonlight,

Raising mist, obscuring me.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Twinkle

With a twinkle in my eye,

And a dimple in my cheek,

Acting deceptively shy,

With my demure mystique.

—————————————————————————————————————-

A Soldier’s Return

No more sleepless nights,

My soldier returns,

Regale me with lights,

And ease my concerns.

—————————————————————————————————————-

Masquerade

As love you do masquerade,

With words of rosiest red,

All questions you do evade,

With parodies of flames wed.
