Cloudburst

As we watch the cloudburst,

Upon the edge of shine,

It’s movements unrehearsed,

As it’s rain does enshrine.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Grief

A perilous emotion,

The great heaving of such grief,

Like drowning in an ocean,

Impaled on a coral reef.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Sentimental

Feeling all too sentimental,

Absent of all things sensory,

With my flutters far from gentle,

Lone in my empty nursery.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Cues

Can no longer write on cue,

As my fingers do bleed ink,

With my handwriting askew,

And sanity on the brink.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Exploitation

Such exploitation in the highest,

Restricting my access in crisis;

You, refusing to encourage,

My forgiving pills to nourish.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Control

As foolishness covers,

With a loss of control,

By the hands of others,

Writing mere folderol.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Mortal Mark

The candle’s fickle flame,

Symbol of my mortal mark,

As the wind plays a cruel game,

And my guiding light to dark.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Naked

My tears overflowed the stream,

As the wind stripped me of dress,

Alone in a naked dream,

In my forest of distress.

—————————————————————————————————————–

For My Love

For my love,

My sins Have reason

As surely as your heart

beats upon my wall.

A red rose clock timing our eternity.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Meek

With the outlook so bleak,

And how today I die,

My very patience meek,

As the sunset is nigh.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Strange

Indeed, how very strange,

And how very curious,

How often we do change,

And become spurious.

—————————————————————————————————————–

By The Creek

By the creek of my loss,

No meanings to devise,

I fade into the moss,

Whilst drowning butterflies.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Elemental

Fires of my passion,

Waters of my life flow,

My Earth to ashen,

When my Air carries woe.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Birdsong

Upon paper leaves we drew,

A sweet birdsong from the breast,

In the watercolour hue,

Where we did then make our nest.

—————————————————————————————————————–

The Wall

Eternal battleground,

Sounds with the warrior’s call,

No mercy to be found;

Women thrown to the wall.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Stories

How is your adventure?

For you seldom do write,

With stories you censor,

You keep me up at night.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Phases

With your disarming gaze,

You know before we feel,

This is all but a phase,

Sung by the breeze with zeal.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Images

And forgetting the bloodshed,

Grand visions make one humbler,

Calm images of the dead,

In such a peaceful slumber.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Wary Hearts

Through long eternal crusades,

Where such wary hearts have shouted,

Belittled by the charades,

The devil himself doubted.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Foreboding

Unable to write for beauty,

Ensnared by the foreboding,

Marching to my death’s duty,

My mind calmly eroding.

—————————————————————————————————————–

Breath

And I breathe your breath,

And I beat your heart,

But, awaiting for death,

From the very start.
